Z is for Zorro?

And the winners are:
Zorro - Antonio Banderas (69%)
Lolita - Catherine-Zeta Jones (69%)
Fray Felipe - John Goodman (60%)
Thank you for voting!

A crowd of PEONS watch SOLDIERS posting a DEAD OR ALIVE Bulletin for the capture of ZORRO. Suddenly, a galloping horse flies into the crowd. Zorro marks his signature Z into the side of the building. Galloping from the opposite direction,
another Zorro appears, carving a Z adjacent to the first.

Perplexed, peons and soldiers surround the two dismounted Zorros who study one another suspiciously, hands on the hilt of their swords.

En guarde!

The two dual like devils; each lunging, retreating, circling, lunging, retreating, and so on for an hour. Peons are taking a siesta; soldiers are resting against the side of the building; the two Zorros clinging to one another in exhaustion.

FRAY FELIPE appears. As Zorro turns to him, his hat falls releasing locks of long, glistening hair; perspiration clinging to and outlining a sultry, feminine body.

Lolita drops her sword, then sensually straightens out her hair.

Ah, exhilerating!
Not Lolita, but Z.

Peons stir; soldiers scratch their heads.

Smiling seductively, she steps closely towards Zorro. She caresses his face then rips off his mask, revealing Zorro's true identity.

Yes. It is Diego!

Why Lolita? Why would you do this to me?

Because I am the true Zorro! Tell them!

Diego studies the questioning crowd.

(bowing his head)
Yes. It is true.

Ha ha ha! No one can defeat Z!

Another Zorro appears, gallops passed Lolita, and snatches her up onto his horse. They disappear into the sunset.

With a setting like this I couldn't help but choose Banderas and Zeta Jones. Entertaining!

Yes, very entertaining!

Horses, swords, sensual hair flying-so exciting! I can see the dust flying-and the puzzled faces trying to figure it all out.

Love the confusion!

Petra, about your comment on Notte di glad you liked it. You just have to make it over here one day! Once you've done all the churches and museums, the secret treasures are within the little towns who rarely see foreigners. Although it certainly helps to be able to understand the language, residents are more than eager to explain their traditions and cultures. Sweet!

Tyrone Power! Wow, when you decide to include dead actors, you go all out.

My "other" vote for Zorro, just for fun, was Errol Flynn. If you really wanted an out-of-the-blue candidate, you could go for the Vincent Price of His Kind of Woman.

Oh boy, all these choices! I am a traditionalist so I would vote for Banderas and Zeta Jones as well. They just seem to click on stage.

By the way thanks for the link! I will do the same for you!

Okay, now I want to know...... who do you picture here? 'Cmon........ tell, tell.

So do the write in ever win?
Because I think my line-up would be the funniest, most intelligent, dramatically creative and Thespetically inspiring cast since...Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtiss lit up "Some like it Hot".

Petra, please head over to my blog, I have a surprise for you.

Hmm... I came over and voted and left a comment the other day, via my news feed. But it's not here!

Anyway, I chose Banderas and Zeta Jones too - as it seems most people did. Sorry Brian, maybe next time. ;)

Jingle, Bells

Dashing thro' the snow,

In a one-horse open sleigh,

O'er the fields we go,

Laughing all the way;

Bells on bobtail ring,

Making spirits bright;

What fun it is to ride and sing

A sleighing song tonight!

(Refrain:) Jingle, bells! Jingle, bells!

Jingle all the way!

Oh! What fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh!

Now the ground is white,

Go it while you're young;

Take the girls tonight,

And sing this sleighing song.

Just get a bob-tailed bay,

Two-forty for his speed;

then hitch him to an open sleigh,

And crack! You'll take the lead.
